Deep Tissue Massage- chronic sore muscles or areas of previous injury may need more intense work, it is important to incorporate exercise, postural correction, and a regular massage to increase the benefits of this massage. Also hydration is key to flush out lactic acid build up after, otherwise you may be sore.
Sports Massage- athletes who train continuously strive to enhance endurance, lessen the chance of injury, and need a shortened recovery period. A variety of techniques are used in this modality including swedish, trigger point, soft-tissue melting, and stretching. These techniques can be used appropriately before, during, and after an event for optimal performance.
